I had a strong coffee and danced non-stop at the Village Underground. The first support act was LC Collective, who were brilliant.
Lyrically Challenged Collective
I feel totally spoiled with fantastic flute players lately – Nathan Flutebox Lee played with ADF for most of their set. He manages to make playing a flute look like it’s cool and tough.
Asian Dub Foundation
I loved this gig because: 1. No one in the audience talked while the musicians played. 2. RM Hubbert is funny and sad at the same time. 3. His music is so amazing that I couldn’t speak afterwards.
The master – RM Hubbert gives a very true view of Dalston.
It was Ian Damaged’s 50th birthday and 25 years of Damaged Goods Record Label, and there was a secret surprise! Talulah Gosh!!!!!

I was too far back and behind a post to see much of Helen Love, but what struck me most about the gig was the amount of 40 year old blokes who were so-bloody-excited that they jumped up and down for the whole show.
Helen Love and audience of middle-ish aged blokes with beards and glasses, who were acting like excited teenage girls.
